About the Database
Who Will Use This Data Base?
Organisations across all sectors recognise and have a commitment to better inform their policies, service and product development, and train their workforces to meet the needs of a diverse community, which includes people with disabilities. This database is designed to provide ‘entry-point’ access for these organisations to disability consultants who have personal experience of disability, and will be specifically marketed to these organisations. These include government, non-government and corporate sector organisations providing goods and services which include but are not necessarily primarily focused on people with disability.
As an information product, the database and DISTSS does not have a role in the business arrangements between consultants and client organisations. The selection and engagement processes are between the consultant and client – it does not include DISTSS or its contractors.
The Database of Disability Consultants; Nothing About Us Without Us is an information product only. Consultants are responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide the database. All selection and contractual arrangements are between the Consultant and Client. The Consultant is solely responsible for the delivery and management of their consultancy service/product. DISTSS and its contractors accept no responsibility for the quality or provision of consulting services listed in the database.
